A company is only as good as its people. And, as we always want to be at the top of our game, you’ll need to be there too if you want to work with us. We are currently looking for the right person to join our Legal Department.

Your responsibilities would include:

As Legal Counsel, you will collaborate closely with management and our cross-functional team to maintain and develop strategic, forward-looking legal solutions that support the company’s long-term goals
Assess and advise the management on legal matters with special focus on corporate and commercial contracts in an international context
Draft, review and negotiate commercial and other agreements with customers, suppliers, distribution partners, universities, etc.
Apply strategic and creative thinking to your day-to-day work, developing clear and future-oriented legal frameworks that align with business objectives and mitigate risk
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, industry standards and internal governance policies
Manage and coordinate external legal support
Conduct internal legal training to raise awareness on key legal, contractual and compliance matters
Advise on and monitor regulatory developments relevant to the business, ensuring timely implementation of necessary changes

You would need to meet the following requirements:

Academic degree in Law, ideally with a focus on Commercial Law
2-3 years of relevant experience, either at an in-house legal department or at a law firm
A solid understanding of contract law and experience in contract drafting, corporate law, and general commercial legal matters
Experience working across multiple jurisdictions is a plus
Strong communication skills across different stakeholders and ability to work cooperatively with other departments
A proactive and hands-on attitude with attention to detail; characterized by a structured way of working
A solution-oriented approach and the ability to reduce legal complexity with the goal to render practical, tailored legal and related advice
Creative thinking, with the ability to thrive as a self-starter in an interdisciplinary environment
A problem-solving mindset, contributing to a forward-thinking, constructive team spirit
Good sense of humor
Fluency in English and German is required, additional language skills, especially French would be considered an asset
